The two fields below are intended for use by residents, developers, architects, & real estate professionals to calculate the "buildable" impervious lot coverage and the maximum building size (inclusive of garage floor area) upon a given lot in the Village of Glenview's R-1, R-2, R-3, R-4, R-5, & R-6 residential zoning districts.
To calculate Maximum Impervious Lot Coverage, enter the lot size in square feet (less any lot area required to be dedicated for public right-of-way purposes) in the dialog box, then click the "Calculate" button. The permissible lot coverage will appear in the gray box beneath the Maximum Impervious Lot Coverage section.
To calculate Maximum Building Size, enter the lot size in square feet (less 1. any lot area required to be dedicated for public right-of-way purposes; and 2. any lot area in excess of 3 times the lot width times the lot width at the required front yard setback line) in the dialog box, then click the "Calculate" button. The permissible maximum building size will appear in the gray box beneath the Maximum Building Size section.
