Permit parking

Permit parking is available at both stations, but the Village has a limited number of spaces.  If you would like to obtain a parking permit:

Permit costs vary depending on whether you live in incorporated Glenview -- the annual cost for residents is $300 and non-residents is $400.

Remember these rules

  • Purchasing a commuter parking permit does not guarantee a parking spot.
  • Permits are not interchangeable between the two Glenview stations.
  • Backing into spaces is not permitted and is subject to a fine.
  • The parking lot areas at the Downtown Metra/Amtrak Station are designated as Resident Only, Non-Resident, and pay-per-day spaces. Non-Resident permit holders may be ticketed and subject to a fine if the vehicle is parked in the Resident Only parking areas.
  • Permits are non-refundable and will not be pro-rated.
  • Permits must be displayed in the top corner of the rear window of the driver's side of your vehicle.
  • Avoid placing the static cling permit on the rear defrost heating elements.
