The Glenview Road Project consists of constructing streetscape improvements along Glenview Road from Metra Railroad Tracks to Waukegan Road, with some minor improvements along Church Street and Pine Street. This includes the replacement of concrete sidewalks from the roadway edge up to the face of buildings on both sides of the street, street lights, parkway trees, enhanced landscape beds, and street furniture. In addition, pedestrian signals will be upgraded and the water main will be replaced from Church Street to Waukegan Road. Finally, the roadway pavement surface will be replaced and new pavement markings will be installed.
The Village Board of Trustees on December 6, 2016 approved a final site plan review to permit reconstruction of the existing streetscape features, including sidewalk, parkway trees and landscaping, lighting, and street furniture along Glenview Road and adjacent side streets in downtown Glenview.
