April 2 Consolidated Election update

‚ÄčIn accordance with the Illinois Election Code and rules promulgated by the Illinois State Board of Elections, the Village of Glenview, as local election official, determines ballot placement for two or more new parties for the same office that filed petitions simultaneously at the opening hours of the filing period.

Two slates of three candidates for three seats on the Village Board of Trustees filed nominating petitions at 8 a.m. Monday, December 10:

  • Better Government in Glenview -- Cathy Wilson, Tom Greenhaw, Dia Morgan
  • Citizens for Glenview -- Chuck Gitles, Mary Cooper, Michael B. Jenny

The lottery is scheduled at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, at Village Hall, 2500 East Lake Avenue, in the Village Manager's Office, to determine the ballot placement of the parties.

Also filing nominating petitions for the Village Board of Trustees on Monday, December 17, was Benjamin Matthew Polony.

Filing for three seats on the Glenview Library Board of Trustees were M. David Johnson, Thomas N. Blanchard and Allan J. Ruter, who will be listed in that order on the ballot.
